Margareta Ferek-Petric was born in 1982 in Zagreb/Croatia. She currently lives as a freelance composer in Vienna. Her composition teachers at the University of Music in Vienna were Ivan Eröd, Chaya Czernowin and Klaus Peter Sattler.  She was awarded among others with the Josip Štolcer Slavenski award (2018), advancement award from the city of Vienna (2017), State Scholarship for Composers from the Office of the Austrian federal Chancellor (2016), Composers’ Start Scholarship from the Austrian Ministry of Culture (2012), Theodor Körner Award (2011). For the upcoming seasons she is artistic director of Zagreb Biennale.

firewalk with(out) me is inspired by the series of Twin Peaks and deals with the ambiguousness of sound that brings phantastic-supernatural elements to the foreground.
